The Possibilities of Art Beyond Disability

This talk seminar features Masato Nakamura, artist and Director of the Tokyo Biennale, and Kenjiro Hosaka, Director of the Shiga Museum of Art and a leading researcher of Art Brut (the “Art of Raw Expression”).
They will discuss highlights from the large-scale floor artwork “Taita Tarō” by artist Shun Yonaha, currently on display at the Yaesu North Exit of Tokyo Station in front of Daimaru Tokyo.
Through their dialogue, the speakers will explore how to appreciate the vibrant, untamed energy of Art Brut, as well as its fundamental ideas and enduring appeal.
