Let's touch, learn, and create art.

This time, we will hold a workshop where you can experience real art together with Yoshiaki Kurihara, an artist who participated in the Tokyo Biennale 2020/2021, and students from Tokyo University of the Arts. This workshop is suitable for children as well as for families. We look forward to your participation!

Workshop 1: Let’s Rub It! Making Your Original Fan With Wood Prints!

Using scissors, Cutting out thin wooden boards to create original prints. The prints are then printed on Japanese paper and pasted onto the bones of an uchiwa (Japanese fan) to make an original uchiwa (fan). You can use it as an uchiwa or as a cheering goods!

Eligibility: Elementary school students and above(For preschool children attending, we recommend the assistance of a chaperone.)

Workshop 2: Stick Materials Together! Making Original Caps With a Laminator!

Make your own original cap using laminated film made by inserting wool, colored paper, and various other materials.

Instructor

Yoshiaki Kuribara

Artist. Born 1980 in Gunma Prefecture. With the belief that an artist should embody freedom, I continue to create ambitiously in sculpture and painting, installation, video, performance, film, workshop and any other medium, without limiting myself to a specific style or expression.

 

Tokyo Dome City Art Project

A five-year project starting in May 2022 to explore the possibilities of a relationship between Tokyo Dome City and art. Tokyo Dome, Tokyo University of the Arts and the Tokyo University of the Arts Initiative for Arts Creation collaborate to conduct research on the unique charm of the Tokyo Dome City, create opportunities for visitors to experience the joy and wonder of art in various forms, and create opportunities for young artists to work and be active.
