Naoki Oshiro (Professor of Cultural Geography, Meiji University Faculty of Letters)
1963年生まれ。大阪市立大学大学院文学研究科博士課程修了（地理学）。琉球列島の民俗地理，地域アイデンティティ研究から出発したが、それと並行して、都市の街歩きおよび風景の見方にも関心を深めている。著書に『空間から場所へ』（共編著／古今書院）、『郷土―表象と実践―』（共編著／嵯峨野書院）『モダン都市の系譜』（共著／ナカニシヤ出版）、『都市空間の地理学』（共編著／ミネルヴァ書房）、『モダニティと空間の物語』（共著／東信堂）、『惑星都市理論』（共著／以文社）、『東京の批判地誌学』（共著／ナカニシヤ出版）など。

This lecture invites participants to listen to the genius loci—the spirit of place—hidden in Tokyo’s local scenery, engaging in a dialogue with the histories and memories that have been passed down through generations.This lecture also serves as the final session concluding the four-part special lecture series of Sanpo University Special Lecture.

We welcome Norihisa Minagawa, president of the Tokyo Suribachi Society, who conducts fieldwork focusing on Tokyo’s distinctive undulating terrain.
