Jewelry and the Town: Learning | Documentary Video
"Jewelry and the Town: Learning" of the Tokyo Biennale 2023 is a project to rediscover and re-create the most familiar creation of people - jewelry. Participants gathered from the public are invited to visit Okachimachi, a town specialising in jewelry where craftsmen also gather to create their own accessories by making use of items inherited from their families. In the process, they learn and interact through professional assistance and related cultural courses.
Ahead of the exhibition of results starting in the Fall Period, the history of all five lectures has been compiled in a video.
Enjoy it in conjunction with the exhibition (23 Sept-5 Nov) at the Noga Hotel Ueno Tokyo.
