Min Tanaka (Dancer)

Tanaka began his own expressive activities in 1974 and evolved “hyper-dance,” emphasizing psycho-physical unity of the body. He moved to a mountain village in 1985 and he continues his artistic activity with farming as its basis to date. Since his first film appearance in 2002, he has continued expanding his scope of activities in moving images nationally and internationally. His publications include My Bare Body (Boku wa zutto hadaka datta) (2011); Conscious Body, Contagious Mind (Ishin denshin) (co-authored, 2013); and photo books include Min Tanaka—Between Mountain and Sea: Photography by Masato Okada” (2007); Last Movement: Itaru Hirama/Min Tanaka, vol.
