What was the approach taken by artists who were quick to focus on plastic, which was born after World War II, and how did they use this new material in their works? Plastic, which began as imitation ivory, has been mass-produced and discarded because of its low cost and high formability. Can we think once again about the interesting qualities of this material and use it as a medium for our own expression? The characteristics of this material could be applied to kinetic (moving) sculptures. The history of kinetic art will also be discussed.
