Lazy Tour & Toy Exchange

Hiroshi Fuji

Artist/Akita University of Art Graduate School of Transdisciplinary Arts

Has served as professor at The University of Papua New Guinea, worked in city planning offices, created the Hiroshi Fujii Planning Office, and served as director of Towada Art Center. Creates art projects that go beyond genres, such as the toy exchange system “Kaekko” using unused toys from households, and “Let’s Make Hachijiro Fujishima” which involves making up an imaginary key person.

Create a "Hyper Frog Station" as a base for various workshops between artists and local people to bring knowledge and skills to the next generation.

Since its founding in the year 2000, “Kaekko” has served as a playground for children using unused toys as a tool. I will make a “Hyper Frog Station” using the mountains of toys that have been gathered to this day. Using this as a base, artists will come up with unique workshops with local citizens to go alongside “Kaekko” and “Lazy Tour”.
