Yanaka is a town that has long welcomed culture and art and nurtured them by its citizens. This project will consist of a series of learning programs to learn about the various elements that make up the area's charm and connect with the mysterious depth of nostalgia of this town. Various programs will be held to learn about and think about our town and art with a focus on Yanaka.

At the Miraiteiban Kenkyu-Jyo, which will serve as a base for the project, visitors will be able to view films and documents related to Yanaka, as well as the air-raid shelter that remains in the building, which was once the workshop and residence of the copperwork "Doukiku" company, and the works of artist Natsuki Kuroda.

Various events will also be held during the exhibition period. The "Yanaka Yohaku-za" talk session, in which a "chairperson for a day" will be invited to the venue to give lectures and performances on a variety of themes. If you go out on the town with a Yanaka map in hand, "Yanaka Radio" will be waiting for you, where you can listen to audio programs all over the area. For those who want to get to know Yanaka more deeply, we recommend the "Yanaka Deep Dive" walking tour of the city.

In addition, on Saturday, October 21, a special program, "Min Tanaka and Kyotaro Yanagiya: Ba-odori and Ba-rakugo," featuring a dancer and a rakugo performer with ties to Yanaka, will be held (charged program at another venue).

Audio guide is available here!
